ABOUT ABOUT

Sam Barlow Theatre Department invites you to Arthur Miller's classic drama, THE CRUCIBLE. The story focuses on John Proctor, his wife Elizabeth, and a young girl named Abigail Williams, who maliciously causes Elizabeth's arrest for witchcraft. John brings the girl to court to admit the lie—and it is here that the monstrous course of bigotry and deceit is terrifyingly depicted. John, instead of saving his wife, finds himself also accused of witchcraft and ultimately condemned with a host of others. Winner of the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play, this exciting drama about the Puritan purge of witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary society. Performances will take place at the Sandy High School Black Box Theater, 37400 Bell St., Sandy, OR 97055.
